The journalism in the US and in particular the columnists are driven so to speak by the buck In other way by the profitability and filling the bank accounts with money. Their allegiance is to temper their views by the market forces. Therefore their writings are geared to where they can make most of the money. In other words again they have to the political philosophies of the employers. A great motivation and driving force is to have syndicated columns that run as in many newspapers as possible. Therefore, if most of the newspapers favor right wing agenda and also alternatively known as conservative hue then they follow through.
This poses a problem in America as far as the public is concerned. So, this is disservice to the public and instead of getting and exposed to the true ramification and understanding what best for the country, they will get analysis and columns are driven by the buck and how much the columnist will earn for his piece.
